Permissible Draught/Dimension At Port Muhammed Bin Qasim

PQA Notice To Mariners No .58/2010 (Applicable From 16th May 2010 to 31st October 2010)

Maximum permissible Draughts / Dimensions for ships calling at port Muhammed Bin Qasim.

During the period From 16th May 2010 to 31st October 2010 are as under:

General Notes

  • The above draughts and dimensions are subject to availability of sufficient height of tide at the time of passagefor berthing / sailing of vessels.
  • Above noted draughts / dimensions are subject to change in case of any abnormal siltation if any.
  • Berthing at the at risk and cost of the owners / agents.
  • Ships are to commence discharging immediately after berthing.
  • Ships on arrival at outer anchorage are requested to intimate correct draughts / dimensions.
  • Vessels violating notices to Mariners will not be accepted.
  • PQA notice to mariners No.57/2009, amended dated 16-01-2010 stands cancelled.
  • Deeper draught vessels at QICT will be handled by taking benefit of tide.
  • Any case of any mis-declaration / concealment of draughts / dimensions by the Master , Owner , Agent etc. will be construed as violation to the above notice to mariner and liable for imposition of penalty as per port rules.
  • Draughts & dimensions for marginal wharf and other terminals will be revised, If necessary dredging is carried out during the period.
  • Vessel of L.O.A more than 270 meters should be with operational bow thruster or prior permission for berthing / unberthing from PQA will be required.
  • The increase in draught at dimensions for MW 5-7 (QICT) is on trial basis.
