PQA Notice To Mariners No.61/2011 Applicable From 16th November, 2011 to 15th May, 2012)

1.    Information about permissible draughts and dimensions.

2.    Maximum permissible Draughts and Dimensions for ships calling at Port Muhammed Bin Qasim during the period From 16th November, 2011 to 15th May, 2012 :

General Notes

  1. The above draughts and dimensions are subject to availability of sufficient height of tide favourable wind and weather conditions at the time of passage for berthing / sailing of vessels.
  2. The Above notified draughts / dimensions are subject to change in case of abnormal siltation if any.
  3. Berthing at the at risk and cost of the owners / agents.
  4. Ships are to commence discharging immediately after berthing.
  5. Ships on arrival at outer anchorage are requested to intimate correct draughts / dimensions.
  6. Vessels violating PQA notices to Mariners will not be accepted.
  7. PQA Notice to Mariner No.60/2010, extended dated 30-09-2011 stands cancelled.
  8. Deeper draught vessels at PQA will be handled by taking benefit of the tide.
  9. In any case of misdeclaration / concealment of draughts / dimensions by the Master , Owner, Agent etc. will be construed as violation to the above notice to mariner and liable for imposition of penalty as per port rules.
  10. Draughts & dimensions for marginal wharf and other terminals will be revised. If necessary dredging is carried out during the period.
  11. Vessel of L.O.A more than 270 meters should be with operational bow thruster or prior permission for berthing / unberthing from PQA will be required.
